I toyed with the punchline on this one. It was originally supposed to be "you don't have any money now, what makes you think you'll have money later?!" I found it kinda weak compared to this in my head.
You see, this is actually how I first approached loans way back in the day when I played MMOs. Some guy on the street was giving them out with an incredible interest rate. But the guy must have been really stupid or something because there's no "break you kneecaps" collection agencies in MMOs. It was like free money! Anytime people would trade me awesome weapons or stuff to "try out" I would simply walk away with their merchandise. It wasn't technically thievery because it was a fair trade they were stupid enough to make.
I got lucky like that a lot.
